Taking a class, like Beekeeping 101, locally is the BEST way to start when you want to learn how to become a beekeeper. YouTube and books are a great supplement, but not a substitution for learning the basics and geographical differences of what it takes to become a SUCCESSFUL beekeeper. Just like gardening, in Florida, beekeeping practices are very different from other parts of the country.
